Adopt A Street Program

Kiwanis Tamarac is deeply involved in the SOS Children's Village "Moving Up and Moving Out" project. This project assists 18+ year old children involved in the foster care system who have "aged out". At age 18, many foster children are put out of their foster homes because the government support ends on their 18th birthday. The SOS Children's Village offers housing assistance, counseling, monetary help and guidance.

Story Trail is an innovative and delightful way for children — and adults! — to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. Laminated pages from a children's book are  installed along an outdoor path. As you stroll down the trail, you're directed to the next page in the story.
